employment in a laboratory (or other relevant position),

a science (or related) tertiary qualification,
-
if the qualification is not at least equivalent to a New Zealand BSc, the recommendation of the applicant’s laboratory employer, and
-
demonstration of understanding of the micro-credential and general suitability for the study through Real World Education's pre-entry process.
It is recommended (but not required) that applicants have an indication from their laboratory employer that there is an interest in appointing the applicant as a KTP in the foreseeable future.
